Detailed Features

24 hour access the current wind conditions in North/Central America the Caribbean for over 3000 locations. More stations/countries added everyday!
Current wind conditions includes exact time of reading (no more "estimates" like most), average sustained wind, gusts, peak wind, exact heading (in compass degrees), arc data if provided by NOAA (think wind shifts), cloud cover, temperature, and general phenomena. Units can be Mph/Fahrenheit or Knots/Celsius.
Detailed wind forecast for the next 24 hours including transitions and rate of transitions if provided. Also, the exact time of forecast is given to gauge accuracy. Most often, the forecast is composed of a sequence of (direction/velocity pairs) every 4-5 hours for a 24 hour period. Units again can be Mph/Fahrenheit or Knots/Celsius.
Includes the Wind Notifier. Receive SMS/email notifications when the current wind or wind forecast gets to be above a certain velocity. You can identify which stations to check, the time of day and day of week to check, how often to check, velocity, and the units you wish to receive your notification in (kt or mph). Maximum 24hour lead time.
Current conditions and forecasts are updated every 15 minutes. Far more frequently than most internet weather sites which only check for changes once every hour.
Uses Aircraft feeds which identifies wind in great details, not dumbed down consumer feeds.
Ability to report time of reading and forecast time using the timezone of your liking.
Retrieve and display up to 30 station's current or forecasted wind conditions at a time.
Very Low bandwidth required resulting in a higher success rate in retrieving your data. Dropped cell phone packets do occur in most places around the globe.. so the less data, the less the chance you have to try again.
Using the WindTrack Network, you can connect your Internet-addressable Weather Station into the WindTrack network and get instant wind information on your mobile device. No ads, no special software to run.
Ability to check for upgrades from your mobile device. Your purchase includes free upgrades throughout the subscription period.
Support for worldwide timezones and ICAO/custom stations
